This role is office based in Larne

Purpose:

Kilwaughter Minerals Ltd purpose to people’s lives through high performance products and satisfying our customer demands.

Focus for the role is to liaise and coordinate between internal departments and organise third party hauliers to meet the company’s on time in full targets (OTIF).


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assign customer sales to transport, achieving OTIF in the most cost effective and efficient approach.
  • Work to maximise vehicle utilisation and stock movement between all four sites.
  • Maintain haulier and customer relationships, dealing with any issues and resolving them for the best possible outcome for the customer.
  • Create reports and delivery schedules for customers and different departments.
  • Work with the Commercial teams striving to ensure that all special delivery requests are met for all customers.
  • Liaise and communicate with the Commercial team to identify issues that may affect the agreed delivery time, with focus on the customer having a positive experience.
  • Work closely with the Commercial team to ensure that accurate order information is obtained before a delivery is scheduled.
  • Ensure self-management of workload and multitask by communicating with customers across different communication platforms.
  • Maintain files and records and provide quick accurate information when required.
  • Work to a high standard and take responsibility for delivering all expected tasks.
  • Show initiative, act with confidence, and show ability to work under own direction.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the company values and embrace our continuous improvement culture, adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Ensure good relations and communications with all members of the company and provide excellent customer care in an efficient manner.
  • Continue to identify ways in which further improvements to performance and service delivery can be made to our customers.
  • Be willing to cross train and cover other roles in the department during peak periods & holiday coverage.

Education

  • A minimum of GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above in English and Maths
  • GCSE or equivalent in IT
  • Higher education undergraduate or higher in Geography / Supply Chain / Business appropriate

Experience

  • Minimum two years within transport and supply chain
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel
  • Demonstrate abilities in using planning systems or ERP
  • Multi-site experience
  • Key account handler

Skills and Competences

  • Excellent customer focus, showing a positive attitude at all time
  • Confident at decision making

Strong customer focus

Proven ability to communicate and present solutions both verbally and via written mediums

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong influencing skills with ability to influence upwards, downwards and laterally
