Job Purpose:

As part of our business growth, we are investing in a flagship Training Academy to support our customers to develop their skills in product knowledge and product application. We have an exciting opportunity for a Product & Application Training Manager to lead the Academy. You will be responsible for developing and delivering bespoke training courses and CPDs to our customer base such as Plasterers, Renderers, EWI Installers and a range of specifiers including Architects.

Also responsible for developing solid relationships with industry bodies, schools and colleges, you will improve the skills gap in the construction industry by encouraging a new generation of trained young people into the sector through training.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for health, safety, and well-being to deliver a safety-first culture
  • Maintain collaborative working practices, rapport and effective relationships with all stakeholders
  • Create a best-in-class training experience through materials, engagement and satisfaction levels
  • Demonstrates a positive, solution focussed mindset as part of our Continuous Improvement culture
  • Manage post event evaluations, ensuring all learners are introduced to the relevant support network
  • Create, maintain, and update training materials in line with brand guidelines and industry requirements
  • Work in partnership with the Product Managers for each brand, developing course material and topics in line with market and legal requirements
  • Manage and co-ordinate the booking and confirmation of training events, communicating regularly with learners, suppliers, and venues where appropriate
  • Manage training events for the K Rend and K Systems brands, achieving a positive customer experience which becomes an integral part of brand loyalty
  • Deliver monthly metric reporting on attendees, outcomes, experiences and cost management
  • Deliver classroom based and online training sessions, demonstrating the key features, benefits, and application of new & existing products to internal and external customers
  • Work in partnership with the Marketing team to develop and implement a clear marketing plan to identify suitable advertising avenues and promotion of our range of training courses
  • Demonstrate the required technical knowledge and expertise for External Wall Insulation Systems and Render, with the ability to reflect best practice and innovative techniques within each market segment
  • Continually demonstrate commitment to the company values, adhering to all policies and procedures

Education

  • A minimum of GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above in English and Maths
  • Specific NVQ industry related qualifications

Experience

  • Awareness of the construction / relevant industry
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience working in a similar role
  • Experience delivering classroom and online training sessions
  • Experience of creating or maintaining engaging training content
  • Experience in creating engaging training videos

Skills and Competences

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • A creative thinker
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, planning and prioritising ability.
