Purpose:

This is a fantastic opportunity to head up the Agri Sales division for one of the leading agricultural brands in the UK and Ireland.

We currently have an opening for an ambitious Agricultural Sales Manager to join our team. The role will be to develop existing business, working with large agricultural distributors and farm merchants, as well as generating additional sales for the Kilwaughter range of Limestone products used in both construction and agriculture. Working as part of an enthusiastic and dynamic external sales team, you will be primarily responsible for developing sales leads from new and existing customers across the UK & Irish markets, meeting set targets, generating new sales and building and developing relationships with our existing customers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate new sales leads through strategic planning tools, telephone calls, CRM database, face to face visits, seminars, exhibitions and internal and external lead providers, across a range of sectors primarily focused on the agricultural sector for our market leading range of granulated lime, bedding material and other calcium carbonate powders, bulk minerals and granulated bagged products.
  • Achieve agreed sales targets and maximise sales through regular customer visits to execute the sales plan for key product range.
  • Build strong relationships with key influencers and decision makers within the sector, selling the value benefits of our products, service and expertise to affirm Kilwaughter Lime as their supplier of choice;
  • Manage and develop the sales pipeline to track opportunities in line with the commercial strategy to grow revenue;
  • Accurately report on sales activity, sales opportunities, market intelligence and revenue forecasting;
  • Research and identify new product development areas to develop our Kilwaughter Lime brand by capitalising on current and future opportunities;
  • Work with the internal support team, to establish a robust sales plan to support achieving the set sales activities and targets;
  • Further develop the existing customer base and solid relationships through regular engagement and touch-points
  • Deliver presentations, one-to-one pitches and webinars to a diverse range of customers to raise awareness of our commitment to soil health and animal welfare
  • Maintain collaborative working practices, developing good rapport and effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with key distributors, merchants and bulk & mineral based accounts to ensure that there is effective sales and brand marketing support.

  • GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above in English and Maths
  • Third Level qualification in a Business or Agricultural related discipline

Experience

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in field-based sales, with a track record of generating new business to meet KPIs
  • Experience of selling into the agricultural industry
  • Proven ability to understand and sell a wide technical product portfolio
  • Sales forecasting and pipeline management
  • Experience in using a CRM database and utilising strategic planning tools
  • Experience of managing key accounts
  • Networks across the process, agricultural and construction industry
  • Experience of sales discipline
  • Intimate knowledge of agricultural industry across UK & ROI

Circumstances

  • Able to work flexible hours as required and to travel to the UK & Ireland as required to ensure business needs are met
