Specifcation Generation
  • K Rend BasecoatsA substrate preparation step which should only be selected if the topcoat finish has not been decided and it is intended to apply a subsequent render finish at a later date. K Rend Basecoats are not recommended as a final finish on their own. Select this option only if the final appearance has not been decided but a Basecoat is required for application in the interim.
  • K Rend BrickrendAn attractive brick effect render. It is normally applied to K Rend Basecoats in two different coloured coats, wet on wet. The top coat is then cut through to expose the mortar layer. The mortar joints create a brick effect finish.

    If the required final appearance of the render is a brick effect then this option should be selected.
  • K Rend Dash ReceiverA range of coloured dash receivers. Each is normally applied to K Rend Basecoats as a uniform butter coat and the aggregate is thrown onto the surface while the render is still 'green'.

    If the required final appearance of the render is a dry dash finish then this option should be selected.
  • K Rend RoughcastA coloured wet dash finish. It is thrown onto the surface of a K Rend Dash Receiver of the same colour while the dash receiver is still green.

    If the final appearance of the render is a roughcast (wet dash) finish then this option should be selected.
  • K Rend Scraped TextureA range of one coat applications plastered directly onto blockwork. They can also be used as a finish in conjunction with a K Rend basecoat.
    To achieve the required finish float to a level surface, then scrape the complete surface evenly with a scraping tool when the render is set but not hard, removing 2mm, to produce a uniform texture. A one coat scraped texture finish is suitable for ashlar cutting.

    If the required final appearance of the render is a scraped texture finish then this option should be selected.
